Transfer to secondary school

Children born between 1st September 2009 and 31st August 2010 will transfer to their

Secondary Schools in September 2021.

As Northwood is a member school of Trinitas Academy Trust, it is a named feeder school for Trinity CofE Secondary School, Belvedere.  This means that children attending Northwood are given high priority when applying for a place at Trinity C of E Secondary School, Belvedere.  Below is a link to the Trinity School website where you can find out more about the school:

Trinty's Principal, Mr Godden, has also prepared a presentation explaining further about the process for transferring to Secondary School:

Selection tests for Bexley's selective secondary schools will take place in September 2020.  The application period to register children for the selection tests runs from 1st May 2020 until 3rd July 2020.  Late applications are not permitted.

Northwood no longer acts as a test centre for the selection test.  If you register your child to take the test they will be invited to attend a local test centre to sit the test on either 15th or 16th September 2020.

The application period for parents to apply for a secondary school place will open on 1st September 2020 and run until 31st October 2020.  Late applications may be made, but will only be considered once all of the on time applications have been finalised.  We would urge parents to apply on time or they may not secure a place at the school of their choice.

Families who live in the borough of Bexley should apply online using the Bexley Council website: www.bexley.gov.uk

If you are unable to apply online you can request a paper form from Bexley Council.

Families not living in Bexley should apply to their home local authority.

Emails and letters notifying parents of the school allocated to their child will be sent by your local authority in March 2021.
