Transfer to secondary school

Children born between 1st September 2013 and 31st August 2014 will transfer to their Secondary Schools in September 2025.

As Northwood is a member school of Trinitas Academy Trust, it is a named feeder school for Trinity CofE Secondary School, Belvedere.  This means that children attending Northwood are given high priority when applying for a place at Trinity C of E Secondary School, Belvedere.  Below is a link to the Trinity School website where you can find out more about the school:

To be considered for a place at a grammar school within the London Borough of Bexley through the coordinated secondary application process, your child must achieve the selective standard in the Bexley selection test.

The selection tests for Bexley's selective secondary schools take place each year in  September.  Children will only sit the tests if their parent opts in.  The application period to register children to take the September 2024 selection tests opened on 1st May 2024 and ran until 31st May 2024.  Late applications will not be accepted.

Children registered to take the test will be invited to attend a local test centre to sit the test during the week of 9th September 2024.  Northwood does not act as a test centre for the tests.

The application period for parents to apply for a secondary school place will open on 1st September 2024 and run until 31st October 2024.  Late applications may be made, but will only be considered once all of the on time applications have been finalised.  We cannot stress enough how important it is to apply on time or your child may not secure a place at the school of their choice.

Families who live in the borough of Bexley should apply online at http://www.eadmissions.org.uk/ or via the Bexley Council website: www.bexley.gov.uk/admissions

If you are unable to apply online you can request a paper form from Bexley Council.

Families not living in Bexley should apply to their home local authority.

Emails and letters notifying parents of the school allocated to their child will be sent by your local authority in March 2025.
