Below are some fantastic links to get your child interested in the increasingly important world of computing (they're also really fun)
  • Scratch A free, child friendly programming language that's a bit like piecing together a jigsaw
  • Soundation A free music program that allows children to make their own songs using samples. Easy to easy, with great results
  • LMMS A free, open source beat maker. Great for little dance musicians!
  • W3 schools If your child is older and interested in 'proper' programing, this is a great place to start. HTML, JAVA, CSS and more can be learnt here. Best of all. It's free!
  • Paint.Net A free and flexible image manipulation program. For some reason there is a similarly named app that costs money, get the free version we use in school here!
