Week 1.2
Friday Round-up Week 1:2 (13th Sept '24)
Congratulations to the whole class for winning the 'Green Class of the Week' Award.
Our first full week of the new term and it's been a busy one. In Maths, we've been looking at negative numbers and using them in the context of temperature. In English, we were looking at formal and informal language. Geography saw us exploring the concept of time zones and in Science, we enjoyed starting our 'Classification' topic. We played throwing games in PE, started some coding work on Scratch in Computing and looked at marriage and civil partnerships in RHEd.

Thoughts about our week:
"I've really enjoyed learning about negative numbers because now I know that -1 is bigger than -2 and that -10 is bigger than -20 !" Ella
"I didn't understand negative numbers - now I do!" Kaleel

"I learnt that fish have backbones!" Cody
"PE was great fun - a lot of team work involved." Rosie
"I have improved my knowledge of negative numbers." Imisi
