SPR 2.2
Friday Round-up Spring Week 2.2 (4th March '22)
Another busy Year 6 week with line graphs taking the main stage at the beginning of the week and World Book Day dominating the end. In between we've looked at the heart (not literally!) and discussed the uses of different verb tenses in English.
There were some amazing magical objects made and
plenty of book-led activities.
(Lots more photos on the World Book Day page of the gallery below)
We also began our lessons on the new glockenspiels....early days but great fun. Lastly, Kirsty, from the school kitchen, popped in to show us how she cuts and slices the fruit for the school lunches. This was in response to a couple of children questioning whether someone had 'taken a bite' out of their piece of melon the day before. Needless to say it was just where Kirsty had removed the seeds from the middle of the melon.
Our thoughts about this week:
"I liked finding out about the Ukrainian refugees; I wished that there was a way I could help."
Leyo
"I enjoyed World Book Day because I got to learn about different authors and books."

"World Book Day was fun; we got to see other people's creations."
Barack

Siji
"I really enjoyed playing the glockenspiels. It was hard getting used to playing the notes with my left hand since I'm right-handed."
Victoria
"I really enjoyed our grammar section about verb tenses."
Kayla
"Learning about the circulatory system was great because there were a lot of things that I didn't know."
