On Thursday 5th March the school celebrated 'World Book Day'. This year, rather than a whole costume, we asked the children and staff to create just a hat/headpiece that represents a book. The children went to great efforts in their creations, with each class parading their hats in our special assembly. It was very difficult for Mrs McNulty and Mrs Drohan to choose a boy and girl winner from each class! The winning pupils can be seen in the photos below. After our special assembly, the day was filled with lots of activities in each class based around reading. Towards the end of the day the children took part in 'Buddy Reading' where the older children listened to the younger children read. The whole day was fantastic, and we hope you enjoy looking through photographs from the day below.
