At Northwood we have done a great deal of work since the Government announcement that schools should re-open to selected year groups in June. We carried out extensive risk assessments, followed the guidelines issued very carefully, and contacted all Reception and Year One parents to find out if their child would be returning to school. We concluded that we will be able to open for pupils in Reception and Year One from Monday 1st June. Parents who have elected to send their child back to school will receive further details of procedures they will be asked to follow.
Unfortunately, at present, we have neither the staffing or the space to accommodate Year 6 pupils whilst still meeting the Government guidelines. Year 6 pupils will instead be able to make 1:1 appointments to meet with Mr Fisher for support with their learning. We asked parents to contact us if your child would like an appointment; if you haven't yet done so, and would like an appointment, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org
Work for children to do at home will continue to be posted regularly on the class pages of the school website, and we encourage children to continue to access both the Reading Eggs and Mathletics programmes regularly. Please continue to send in your work and photos so that your teachers can see what you're getting up to. Also, please remember to give us permission if you're happy for their work to be shared on the website.
A limited number of staff are in school each day, so please do phone or email if you need any further information or help.
