Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday we can confirm that school will re-open to all pupils on Monday 8th March. We have been open throughout the pandemic for children of key workers, but it will be really good to welcome everyone else back.
School will be organised in much the same way as it was in the Autumn Term 2020, with each class operating in their own bubble, with their own designated staff.
Our start times and finish times will continue to be staggered:
• Class R, Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6 should come into class at 8:30 a.m. There will be a 10 minute window for your child to come in between 8:30 a.m. and 8:40 a.m.
• Year 1, Year 3 and Year 5 should come into class at 8:45 a.m. There will be a 10 minute window for your child to come in between 8:45 and 8:55 a.m.
Children who arrive after the 10 minute entry time for their class should come into school via the school foyer as their classroom doors will be closed. If they arrive after their 10 minute time slot they will marked as ‘late’ on the register.
• Class R, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 should enter and exit via the Early Years gates.
• Years 4, 5 and 6 should enter and exit via the main school gates.
As before, all primary schools in the Trinitas Academy Trust will close after lunch each Friday to enable a deep clean of the school.
• Class R, Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6 will finish at 2:45 p.m. on Mondays - Thursdays, and at 12:00 noon on Fridays
• Year 1, Year 3 and Year 5 will finish at 3:00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, and at 12:15 p.m. on Fridays
Please observe and follow the social distancing markings in the playground when bringing your child to school or collecting them. Only one adult should accompany children to and from school to limit the number of people on site.
A hot school lunch will be available each day. Alternatively, children may bring their own packed lunch from home each day. We will assume that children will return with the meal pattern previously agreed unless you tell us otherwise. If your child wishes to change their meal pattern from 8th March please email the school office to let us know.
Lunches will continue to be provided free of charge to all pupils in Key Stage One as well as to pupils eligible for free school meals across all year groups. Payment for Key Stage Two school lunches must be made via ParentPay – please ask for more information if you're not yet set up to use the ParentPay system.
Visiting the school:
You will need an appointment to visit the school for any reason. Sadly, we can no longer allow parents or visitors to drop into the school office without an appointment. Please telephone the school on 020 8310 2722 if you need to ask us anything or need to make an appointment. Alternatively, you can email the office on: email@example.com.
School uniform must be ordered in advance. Again, we are no longer able to let parents pop in and buy a new sweatshirt or bag etc. as we once did. A copy of our uniform order form is available to download from the Key Information section of the school website, on the School Uniform page. Alternatively you can email the school office to request any items of uniform that you want to buy. Payment must be made by ParentPay - please ask for more information if you're not yet set up to use the ParentPay system.
Face coverings must be worn within the school gates unless you are medically exempt. This is to protect our children, parents, staff and the whole community. There is no requirement for pupils to wear a face covering.
If your child develops symptoms of Covid-19 they must be tested straight away, and your whole household must self isolate. If their test has a negative result they will be able to return to school as soon as they no longer feel unwell.
We are really pleased to open the school again to all pupils and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday 8th March.
