Aut 1.7

In a busy week tying up 'loose ends', we managed to complete...

  • our RE work about 'How Christians show their beliefs' and the Good Samaritan parable
  • our Geography work using the 'Digimaps software' to annotate local maps with recycling features
  • our PE unit on Team games (unfortunately it's been too wet to play mini-rugby!)

For Black History Month...

We shared some informative presentations about famous black people such as Usain Bolt, Bob Marley and Henry 'Box' Brown.

There were many presentation styles on show, some groups used slides to show images on the board, others read prepared information. The best presentations used a few notes and 'spoke from the heart' about their chosen subject.

We also studied the story of how Jesse Owens became a world superstar at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. We found out how he was discriminated against by Adolf Hitler, and also, by his fellow countrymen on his return to the USA.

So, a  big                   THANYO         for all your hard work this half term.

Don't forget to have a good rest, do your homework and prepare for an awesome lead up to Christmas where our biggest focus will be to study the huge topics of the World Wars.
