Unusually for a Victorian lady Florence Nightingale did a lot of travelling. Born in Italy she lived most of her early life in England. After finishing her studies Florence travelled around Europe spending time in Italy, Greece, Egypt and Germany. Florence then made her famous journey to Turkey to treat soldiers injured in the Crimean War. A remarkable journey for a Victorian lady.
